Where the information comes from

Daycare License Check republishes information from public records (NY OCFS child care facilities (data.ny.gov cb42-qumz), PA DHS child care providers (data.pa.gov ajn5-kaxt), MA EEC programs (iyks-y3g6), WA DCYF licensed child care (data.wa.gov was8-3ni8)). We report what those records show, with the date we retrieved them. Records can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and a business's status can change at any time.

What a badge means — and what it doesn't
